Fall

Tinkergarten Theme: Focus

Our Focus curriculum is designed to help kids develop skills to direct, shift, and sustain attention. Throughout the classes, we’ll use the natural world to teach kids ways to focus: how to feel present in the moment; how

to zoom in and out; how to

wonder; and how to follow

our interests.

Rachel's Background

Rachel Brooks' passion for nature education started as a young child, exploring the wild woods of Allenspark, CO. Here, she discovered her joy of outdoor play, which has led her to a lifelong career in environmental education:

  • Degree in Environmental Communication
  • Former Education Ranger with Rocky Mountain National Park
  • Currently, works as the Curriculum Coordinator for Cal-Wood Education Center
  • Environmental Educator for St. Vrain Community Montessori School,
  • In her spare time, Rachel instills her love of outdoor play in her three young children with a whole backyard of chickens, a bin full of worms (and compost), and lots of muddy playtime in nature.
